Connecticut Climate Change Leadership Awards Program
The Governor’s Steering Committee is pleased to recognize and honor Connecticut’s leaders in climate change action with the Connecticut Climate Change Leadership Awards. The awards have been presented each spring since 2006. The deadline for 2011 nominations has closed. Nominations will be reviewed in March and the awards ceremony will be held in April or May. Check back for details.
Program Goals
- Recognize individuals and organizations that have taken exemplary action in the past year to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change.
- Increase awareness of climate change solutions and Connecticut action on climate change.
- Recognize individuals who make a significant impact by engaging a larger group to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

- businesses
- municipalities
- institutions (colleges, universities, hospitals, schools)
- non-governmental organizations
- individuals
